Kitchen cabinets: Episode 5

Hello readers!  I'm so sorry that it's been over a month since my last post.  I went on vacation (yay!), and then it was just much harder than I anticipated to motivate myself to restart the painting project.  Soooooo.....much.....work.  But I finally got off my butt this past week and did another section.

It was just a small section, but including the side panel on the other side of the dishwasher, seen here, it ended up being a lot of really annoying time spent on the floor.

I started feeling really old doing this part because my knees hurt so much!  But in the end, I think the results were worth the impact to my creaky knees.  Someday I'd like to replace that ugly, old dishwasher with something newer with a stainless finish, but as with everything, dolla dolla billz, y'all, dolla dolla billz.  Now I just have to motivate myself to polish off the last section.

So I'll start working on that this week, but in the meantime, I have this pretty view to enjoy!

PS You might have also noticed that I've put back all of the silver handles on the cabinet doors.  I am still definitely thinking about replacing all of those with oil-rubbed bronze to match the other door hardware I have throughout the house, but I figure I'll save up some more money and do that later since these still look just fine as is.
